It was a day like any other when I went to a friend's house in 1983 and his Brother who was a year or so older had picked up a new 12“ single “ David Joseph’s - You Can’t Hide Your Love “ from the moment on the bug was bitten. 80’s Funk was in this 15-year-old's Blood. I have now been DJing for Nearly 40 years and have played for Crowds Big and Small I like to think that I play all kinds of music for all types of people in all sorts of places, my passion from those early years started with the Brit Funk and panned across the soul spectrum from there. My need for more took me back to the 60’s and 70's this is when I met with the likes of James Brown, Otis Redding & Motown, Stax, Atlantic & Philly etc. In more recent years I have engaged with a couple of [ Genre I ignored ( foolishly ) for many years Northern Soul & Rare Groove. My show will blend the funky vibes across the soul spectrum. From 60’s and 70’s Funk through Disco into 80’s Funk and Boogie and Beyond right up to the independent soul of the modern artist who is keeping this Genre well and Truly alive. We will also from time to time slip in some off-the-cuff genres like Acid Jazz.

I've built up many vinyl records from these amazing genres. In the 80s, I ventured into radio, and some of you may remember me from LWR and TKO. Later, I joined Choice FM 96.9 in London, where I had an incredible 13-year run! After that, I had the privilege of co-presenting on Sky TV for a while. Recently, I bid farewell to London Music Radio after four fantastic years. But fear not, my friends! I'm super excited to bring you the "Soul Surfin Show" on Love Soul Radio London!
